Hydrocolloid dressings are currently one of the most advanced medical dressings. Its main component is a highly hydrophilic hydrocolloid - carboxymethyl cellulose sodium particles (CMC), which, together with hypoallergenic medical adhesive, elastomers, plasticizers, etc., form the main body of the dressing. Its surface is a semi permeable polymer film structure. After contacting with the wound exudate, the dressing can absorb the exudate and form a gel to avoid adhesion between the dressing and the wound; At the same time, the semi permeable membrane structure on the surface allows for the exchange of oxygen and water vapor, but also has barrier properties against external particulate foreign objects such as dust and bacteria.

The use of hydrocolloid dressings:

Mainly used for the care of various difficult to heal wounds, such as bedsores, lower limb vascular or metabolic ulcers, small area shallow II degree burns, and skin donor areas.
