The hCG One Step Pregnancy Test (Urine) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine to aid in the early detection of pregnancy.
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone, produced by the developing placenta shortly after the conception and secreted into the urine and serum. hCG can be detected in both urine and serum as early as 7 to 10 days after conception. hCG levels continue to rise very rapidly, frequently exceeding 100 mIU/mL by the first missed menstrual period, and peaking in the 100,000 - 200,000 mIU/mL range about 10 - 12 weeks into pregnancy.
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a glycoprotein hormone produced in pregnancy that is made by the developing embryo after conception and later by the syncytiotrophoblast. In normal pregnancy, hCG can be detected in urine as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. hCG levels continue to rise very rapidly, usually exceeding 100 mIU/mL by the first missed menstrual period, and peaking in the 100,000-200,000 mIU/mL range about 10-12 weeks into pregnancy. Early pregnancy testing, in general, is based on the detection or measurement of hCG. The Pregnancy One Step Rapid Test utilizes a combination of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to selectively detect elevated levels of hCG in urine. Positive specimens react with the specific antibody-hCG-colored conjugate to form a colored line at the test line region of the membrane. Absence of this colored line suggests a negative result. At the level of claimed sensitivity, the Pregnancy One Step Rapid Test shows no cross-reactivity interference from the structurally related glycoprotein hormones hFSH, hLH and hTSH at high physiological levels.
1.Remove the test cassette from the pouch by tearing the foil pouch.
2.Draw specimen (urine ) into the dropper and dispense it into the sample well on the cassette (2-3 drops, approximately 100ul). Be careful not to overfill the absorbent pad.
3.Read results within five minutes.
4.Discard the test device after a single-use.
5.Depending on the concentration of HCG in the urine sample, positive results may be seen within 40 seconds. Wait the full five minutes to confirm the result. Do not read the Cassette Test after 5 minutes as this may also give an incorrect test result.
Negative: Only one colored band appears in the control region. No colored band in the test region.
Positive: In addition to the control band, a distinct colored band also appears in the test region.
Invalid: If no bands appear, or a test band appears without a control band, the test should be repeated using a new test cassette.
1. Do not use the device if the device package is damaged.
2. Discard the device after use. The device is meant for one-time use only.
3. The storage areas need to be well ventilated and free from corrosive gases.
4. It should be well equipped with fire and rat prevention, moisture, and pest control facilities and do not store at extreme temperatures.
5. Do not use it if it is over its expiration date.
